Safety information
The most commonly reported side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, and injection-site reactions. Serious risks reported with this drug class include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury from dehydration, hypoglycemia when combined with certain diabetes medications, and, in animal studies, thyroid C-cell tumors. Do not use if you or a family member has a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, or if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Seek immediate care for severe abdominal pain or signs of an allergic reaction.
