Safety information
The most commonly reported side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, and injection-site reactions. Serious risks reported with GLP-1 medications include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury from dehydration, and, in animal studies, thyroid C-cell tumors. Do not use if you or a family member has a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, or if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Tell your provider about every medication and condition. Seek immediate care for severe abdominal pain or signs of an allergic reaction.
